NEAERA Name Debut Album
October 28, 2004Münster, Germany-based metalcore act NEAERA have set "The Rising Tide of Oblivion" as the title of their debut album, tentatively due in early 2005 through Metal Blade Records. The CD will be recorded at Stage One Studios in Bühne, Germany in November with producer Andy Classen and will feature 11 songs composed "mostly of (Swedish) death metal riffs, but they will also contain mosh parts and even some melodic black metal passages," according to a posting on the group's web site. The artwork for the album will be designed by art student Martin Grossmann from Steinfurt. "We don't want to give away too much at this point, all we can tell by now is that the ideas and concepts we have seen so far look more than promising," the band write. A demo recording of a new NEAERA track, entitled "Broken Spine", can currently be downloaded at this location.
NEAERA will be teaming up with DEVIL ATE MY SON for a short Austrian tour in early January. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
